Hey Me!

I was going through a forum thread about poems, and remembered that I wrote one back in the day and posted it on xanga. So I came back, and looked for it, rereading all the posts in the process... man... memory lane.

Now its 2009, and I've recently graduated from college. I've picked up a love for watching American football and Guinness beer from the tap. I'm unemployed and looking for work as a fresh graduate, which is bumming me out. I have never had a girlfriend, makes me feel a little lonely sometimes, but I'm not as desperate as certain friends at the moment - especially since employment is far higher on my priority list. Currently, living with my parents, but that feels OK because all my peers seem to be doing that as well. I'm self studying computer science and GREs, but I'm unsure about what exactly I want to do in life. I figure I'll do the exam and figure it out from there.

Why am I suddenly posting again? Because I had alot of fun reading about myself back in the day. How I used to think, what kind of stuff I talked about, what I let other people know, etc. I was disappointed when it ended at 2006. It felt like reading a series of books and finding out that it was discontinued (and I was very sad). So, I thought, why not continue now? Maybe in a couple of years I'll come back and read about my 22 year old self. I don't keep a diary because my organization is terrible and my handwriting is illegible. So, this is my diary! I realized. Also, because very few people know about this blog, and those who do will probably never come back to read it, I can be slightly more personal. On the other hand, I'm keeping this public for two reasons. One, because I want to see what kind of stuff I'm willing to let others know about me, and Two, because it would be funny if a friend stumbled upon this. I actually don't know if people get alerted... I hope not, it would spoil the fun.

Heres to an entertaining life story!

I wish I was a genius >.>

So I was searching for my all time favourite romantic piece that I love playing on the piano, and really the piece that I'm second most proud of, despite still making mistakes all over the place and I found this...

Its a bit slower than professional players but still, I'm pretty depressed that such a young girl plays a song so much better than I do - shes not even famous. I realize that waltzes aren't even Chopin's hardest pieces, but I find them pretty challenging. Still, I guess thats why I didn't choose music as a career! In this world, no matter how much you love any artistic field, you gotta have at least some talent. Still, doesn't mean you can't do them for fun!

A lucid dream o.O

Cause I don't have anyone to tell this to this early in the morning and I don't want to forget it, I'll recall my dream here, cause it was cool.

I started by viewing "me" though it was a manga character in third person. The "I" was taking care of a little kid (I think he was a brother) in a tiny hut and it rained every two days (time was fast forwarding, sort of) finally they were able to get out and look for their family. "I" was shocked and annoyed when it turned out that the family was just outside the hut. They then had to get out of this sort of deserted town and they decided to try going though a warehouse. The party that entered the warehouse was me (the hybrid between me and the manga character) and the manga character's family. as we got deeper into the warehouse, I had a massive feeling of dread but kept going because my character was an uber martial artist (LOL). We finally reached a dead end. But the bad feeling was overwhelming now and everybody ran as fast as they could out of the warehouse. During this period, everyone transformed- I turned back into the real me and the family turned into my family and relatives.

Outside the warehouse, we tried to close the door quickly but two or three weirdly colored tigers jumped out to attack us. The important part is here.. I realized that I was dreaming because the tigers looked abnormal. Just as a tiger was about to maul me the scene changed and I was in a big room full of tourists with my family and relatives (a bit like my trip to canada a few weeks ago).

My little cousins wanted to play with me and I wanted to show them something cool, and since I knew I was dreaming, I decided to fly. My Aunt stood nearby and told me that yes, it would be possible for me to fly because I was dreaming. However I didn't know how to, so my first attempt was to jump over a fully grown adult (one of the tourists) so I forced myself to run at the tourist and jump over him, with the thought that it would be bad if I crashed into him. I succeeded in jumping really high and almost touching the high ceiling above. Now that I knew I could perform impossible physical feats, I spread my arms out and started lifting off, gliding around the room. I was unsteady though and several times, I lost control and started spinning around in the air. I woke up shortly after.

This was the first time I've ever flown in a dream and also first time I actually manipulated myself in a dream so I thought it was really cool.

As the creator said, its kinda zen

Today's xkcd was pretty good. It actually made me realize something. Although admittedly, its k inda sad how a webcomic inspires me.
